Spectacular Holiday
As the cold, harsh wind of December touched my skin, I knew that a magnificent Christmas was coming.
Every 25th day of the month of December, Christmas is celebrated all over the world. It is an annual sacred Christian holiday that commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, the spiritual leader and founder of Christianity. While many people celebrate Christmas to honor Jesus's birth, it's also celebrated as a cultural holiday across the globe.
My Christmas this year was merry. I celebrated it with my classmates, friends, family, and the entire neighborhood on several days and in various locations. Spaghetti, shanghai, carbonara, ham, maja, and many other exquisite Filipino dishes were among the delicious meals we consumed. We gave special gifts to one another, and most especially, we greeted one another with hugs. We laughed, we ate, and we conversed. We sang along to Christmas songs. Everyone played charades and shared cheesy cracker jokes. It was a Christmas filled with laughter and love.
This year's Christmas was brighter and livelier than in years past. Albeit Christmas is enjoyable with its festivities and cuisines, what counts most is the true meaning of Christmas, which is to commemorate and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I wish for a more fun and spectacular Christmas for everyone.
